Halo title screens
(This was to be the start of a sub-review series I was trying to start with the Gaming Nomad persona to review anime via Candid Slice. I wrote this article nearly 2 months ago and, for unknown reasons, has yet to be published. So I have taken matters into my own hands and am putting the article out the old fashioned way.)
Ah, hello there. Gaming Nomad here and due to the lack lust amount of interesting games coming out this year, I thought I’d start a new sub-series to focus on one of my other interests and call it Anime Corner. I’ll be giving some reviews to some anime series I feel need more attention or are my personal favorites, focusing on the good, bad, and possibly getting those who have never seen anime, a little bit curious. To kick of this new series, I decided to pick a fairly new anime series that I recently watch and found myself really liking; WataMote. Or its full Japanese title ‘Watashi ga Motenai no wa dō Kangaetemo Omaera ga Warui!’ which translates as ‘No Matter How I Look at It, It’s You Guys’ Fault I’m Not Popular!’ Haha, oh Japan. You and you’re ridiculously long titles. At first glance, this looks like what might be a typical moe-style, slice of life, school life series that have been so popular over the past few years. But once you start watching, it is a bit different from what you usually see this type of genre of anime. To put it another way, usually I couldn’t care less about school life anime and I ended up loving this series. So why do I love it? Let’s take a closer look. This is my first time reviewing an anime series so bare with me.
